私の名前はカーリエ。８年生なので、もうすぐ卒業です。私は手話を学んでもらえるように、ホームページを作っていく活動に入りました。この６ヶ月間、編集したり作ったりしていく活動を楽しむことができました。もしも、手話について知りたい人がいたら、きっと感謝してもらえるんじゃないかと思っています。私は、シンククエストの一部になりきっています。というのは、手話という題材で日本の友達と一緒に活動していく時に、私自身のアイデアに魅力的なところが生かされたと思うからです。有希は素晴らしいパートナーでした。有希が違いを見つけられるようなアイデアを出してくるのがうれしかったです。私は、ビデオで言葉やフレーズを実際に手話でしていく部分で最も貢献できたと思っています。このプロジェクトは、大変だけど面白くて興味深いものでした。多くの時間を家庭でインターネットにつないで自分の作った部分をテストするのに使いました。たったの６ヶ月でこれだけのことをしてきたなんて信じられません。生活の中で活動していったことを、どんどん付け足していきました。今は、やり遂げることができた満足でいっぱいです。 I am Carlie F. and I am soon to graduate from 8th grade. I have participated in a web site teaching people to learn sign language. I have enjoyed the past 6 months of editing and making my site. I believe if anyone wanted to know sign language they could thanks to my site. I am part of ThinkQuest because of my fascination of the idea to work with kids from Japan on the topic of sign language. Yuki was a great partner and I'm glad she came up with the idea of finding the differences. I contributed most by actualy signing the words and phrases for the videos. I believe that this project was hard but interesting. Many times I worked at home testing my site on the Internet. I can't believe that in just 6 months I can add another thing that I have done in my life. It makes me feel so accomplished.
チャラワンスです。パーシー・ジュリアン・ミドル・スクールでの最後の年です。私がしたかったことは、どのように手話をするかを学んだり教えたりすることに参加することでした。一緒に活動してきた日々、素晴らしい時を過ごすことができました。本当にそんな時が好きでした！私が手話について調べていけばいくほど、楽しいことや興味深いたくさんのことを学んでいくことができました。私はシンククエストで手話をテーマに取り組むことにしました。それは、人の助けになることをしたいという気持ちがあったこと。そして、それと同時に、去年、私たちのサイバー・ディクショナリーに、１年生の子たちが手話でお話を入れたのを知っていたので、手話の活動に取り組みたかったというのが理由です。６ヶ月間を通して、ムービーを作ったり編集したりするのに実際のところはほとんどの時間を費やしました。私や私の素晴らしいパートナー、カーリエと有希がどれほど頑張り、私自身、どれほど誇りに思っているか、そして、本当に短い期間にどんなにたくさんのことをしたか分かりますか。ともかく、私を援助してくれた、カーリエ、そして有希に感謝したいと思います。そして、３年生のバーンスタブル先生にも、このような経験をさせていただけたことを感謝したいと思います。すべての人がこのサイトを喜んで使ってもらえることを期待しています。 I am Chalawrense D., and this is my last year here at Percy Julian Middle School. The assignment that I wanted to do was to participated in teaching people and learning how to Sign. The past months I had a great time. I loved it! The more that I was researching about it the more I learned many fun and interesting things. I decided to to be part of the ThinkQuest because the fact that I love to help, as well as because it was working with Sign Language which I knew a lot about from last year's project that we did with 1st grade students who signed their tale for our CyberDictionary. Through the six months I actually spend most of the time editing movies as well as making them. ( If you didn't know I'm pretty proud of myself and my special partners Carlie and Yuki of how much we did, and what we did in the short amount of time.) Over all I would like to thank Carlie and Yuki for helping me and thank my 3rd period teacher Ms. Barnstable for letting it happen. I hope you all like the site!

吉田有希です。最初は外国の子と一緒にホームページが本当に作れるのか心配でした。言葉が違ったり考え方の違うことがあったりしてとまどったりしましたが、アメリカの２人の子と協力して、先生方にも助けてもらい、共同作品ができあがったのがとてもうれしいです。

 My name is Yuki Yoshida. At first I felt anxiety because I had never made web pages with a friend in another country. I was confused about the language and the way of thinking six months ago, but I became very glad because now I can collaborate with two American friends. We've been helped by teachers, and we can made such a great web site.
